Where edible green stalks can feel safe and secure

Me I live in Buckinghamshire and I work for a software company as a Software Test Engineer. I consider myself to be pretty sociable, open minded, friendly and reliable. I have an addictive personality, and tend to get taken up by fads. Below is a list of non-fad interests:

Guitar I have played the guitar since I was about 12. I play mainly Classical guitar - my favourite pieces are Cavatina, Romance, Xodo da Baiana, Sound of Bells and Astaurias. Recenty I have been playing Folk guitar with my friend Tanya performing live in gigs and festivals.

Japanese Japanese is a beautiful language, simple in structure but at the same time complex and multi-layered with hidden depth and understanding. I am learning Japanese and plan to take my first jplt exam (level 4) in December.

Dvorak Ergonomic Keyboards (Pronounced d-vor-ak, unlike the composer who has the same spelling but is pronounced d-vor-jack.) What's wrong with qwerty? Think about it: Most people are right-handed, and your strongest finger is the index finger. If this is so, why is the home key for this finger a 'J'? If you rest your fingers on the home keys of a Dvorak keyboard you have vowels under your left hand and most used consonants under your right hand. All other common keys are within reach. My favourite keyboard is made by TypeMatrix

Cooking Cooking is one of my favourite hobbies. It is creative, stress relieving, entertaining, satifying and fun. I love to experiment, vaguly following recipes the first time round. Then I mix and match, trying different ingredients when I don't have what I need. I am a vegetarian who eats fish (fish doesn't count as fish is a fruit!) I love experimenting with potatos: hashes, mashes, bread, cakes, shapes and pizzas and pies.

Music I have a wide ranging taste in music ranging from American Indie via classical to Drum&Bass (missing R&B by a mile!) My favourite artists are Kristen Hersh, Tanya Donelly (sisters from the Throwing muses), Beth Orton, John Mayer and Wilco. I also like most things from Warp, especially Autechre and Square Pusher. I write my own songs, if you dare you can listen to Memories. It's not particularly good or well recoreded - it's just the fact that I have recorded it!

Poetry Like music, I enjoyed poetry from a young age. I don't reel it out often but mainly relying on inspiration - hence why a lot of my poems have a personal meaning. Follow this link to see some of my poetry, or this link to read some by by friend Hope.

Telnet Talkers I have an online life, spending it mostly on Telnet Talkers. Talkers are different from corporate chatroom such as MSN and ICQ because the people who run them also write and maintain them - sometime from scratch. You can regularly find me on Caves, Gateway, Redclaw, and Surfers. If you do log on then choose an interesting name, read everything, and if you get stuck type 'help'.
